Aspen Lavonia's Story

🐾ACTIVE, GENTLE, AND FULL OF HEART🐾

Hi! My name is Aspen, and I’m a friendly, outgoing guy with a big heart and a curious spirit. I’m always happy to meet new people and dogs — big or small — and I believe the world is a pretty exciting place to explore.

I’ve got lots of energy and would love a home that enjoys being active with me. I’m a runner at heart and I’m almost always on the go, but don’t let that fool you — I’m also very gentle and calm in how I ask for affection. When I want pats, I’ll quietly stand next to you or give a soft little paw tap. My goofy eyes and head tilt are kind of my signature move… I’ve been told my “puppy dog eyes” are hard to resist. 😉

Treats are one of my favorite things! I’m a grazer and have good manners with people around my food. I may occasionally remind my sister that my bowl is my bowl, but I do just fine with human handling and guidance.

I walk nicely on a leash, ride great in the car, and hop into the van all by myself. I’m house-trained, use a doggy door, and much prefer spending my time outside where I can stretch my legs and watch the world go by. Loud noises don’t bother me, and I’m easygoing about handling — belly rubs, paws, ears, baths — it’s all okay with me.

I love people, enjoy canine friends, and have a naturally kind, respectful way about me. I’m playful, affectionate, and just a little bit goofy in the best way.

One thing to know about me: if I can see my person on the other side of the fence, I really want to be with them and might try to get closer. With supervision and a secure setup, I’m perfectly happy hanging out and enjoying my space.

If you’re looking for an active, loving companion who balances fun energy with a gentle soul, I think we’d make a great team. I’m ready to find my forever home — maybe it’s with you. 🐾💙

Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta's Adoption Policy
Great Pyrenees are the southeasts best kept secret. We are a magnificent and majestic breed that is one of the best dogs a family can own - we really are. We are gentle giants loved by all because we combine two characteristics that are hard to beat. First, we are terrific family pets. We are lovable and gentle with children - we love them even when they treat us like massive fluff balls! Second, and where we differ from most house pets, we are protectors. I tend to be the witty observer but my big brother Jenkins is a typical Great Pyrenees and he is amazing as he patrols our property watching for anything unusual. He takes his job very seriously. Great Pyrenees were bred as working dogs and our "job" in the home is to protect our "family". We have regular adoption days - usually every other Saturday from 11am until 1 pm at the Perimeter Petsmart in Atlanta, GA visit our website to see current adoption days

We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neuter...
