ASPEN's Story
Aspen is the sweetest, goofiest girl who firmly believes that 67 lbs is lap dog size! She can be a bit shy when she first meets you, but if you let her move at her own pace, your patience will be rewarded with the cutest combination of puppy dog eyes & a slightly pouty lower lip. You’ll really know she’s comfortable when she wedges her little head between your knees to give you easy access for pets and scritches. Aspen is a true pretty pittie princess who likes to keep her toe beans dry and her booty warm. Wet grass after a spring rain? No thanks, she’ll stay on the sidewalk. Time for an afternoon snooze? She’ll show herself to the nearest sunny spot or heating vent. Bedtime so she can get her nightly beauty rest? She kindly requests that you tuck her in with a blanket to snuggle under. (Bonus: the blanket doubles as sound insulation to conceal her snoring.) Aspen is potty and crate trained, and does well free roaming the home. She has lived with children and another dog who was her brother. She is not a fan of cats and may try to chase them, so would do best in a feline free home. Aspen has been in one home her whole life so may need time to adjust to her new home. She has been in care for over three weeks and has had only three visits! She is our third longest resident!
