Aspen's Story

Meet Aspen! This gorgeous 2–3-year-old Great Pyrenees (about 80 lbs) has a heart as big as her head. ( “Punky” as they have lovingly nicknamed her for her pumpkin-sized head) She is very sweet and gentle, gets along well with other dogs and is completely house trained and trustworthy when you are away!

Aspen came to GRRAND last October after roaming rural KY with the severely broken leg. The fracture repair required a plate with pins to secure it correctly. This young lady is now all healed, her gait is completely normal, she has regained her strength and ready to return to normal activity. As a matter of fact, she is already back to patrolling her yard.

Aspen stayed with our medical foster for the first month after surgery and then moved into a loving and active foster home who have nurtured her thru her recovery.

Aspen is easy going and loves to watch the world go by from the yard (like most Great Pyrs do) or a window. She gets along great with other dogs, cats and kids and is very playful.

Aspen dreams of a home with a secure fenced yard where she can roam and patrol like the majestic guardian dog she is.

Interested?
