Aspen's Story

Aspen is an 18 month old, 74 pound, male Great Pyrenees mix who woke up one morning and apparently decided life is a party and he is the host. We are all his guests. He is silly, friendly, and perpetually happy about the entire concept of being alive. If there is a toy, a stick, a yard, or a human willing to participate in nonsense, Aspen is all in.

He is sweet, playful, and very tuned in to his handler. Aspen wants to be involved in whatever you are doing and is the kind of dog who looks to his people for cues about how the world works. His future family should be ready for a rambunctious boy and willing to show him the ropes so he can grow up to be a proper, respectable citizen. With a little guidance and consistency, he will absolutely get there. He is smart and eager. He just occasionally forgets that he is not the main character in a slapstick comedy.

Aspen loves to play and will thrive with an active person who will let him burn off some of that joyful happiness. A fenced yard where he can romp is ideal, and serious walks are very much his thing. He is not built for apartment, condo, or townhome living. This boy has things to patrol and opinions to share.

Speaking of patrol, Aspen is firmly convinced that he has been placed on this earth to warn you about the many threats posed by the Amazon delivery driver. He takes this responsibility seriously. He is generally good with other dogs but would do best with one who can tolerate a little enthusiasm and occasional nonsense. Shenanigans will happen. Cats are fine with him.

In short, Aspen is a big happy dork who wants an active home, a yard to stretch his legs, and humans who appreciate a dog with personality and opinions and the occasional overdramatic announcement about package deliveries.

If you are interested please apply online, at https://bigfluffydogs.com/dog-adoption/ and email paige@bigfluffydogs.com!

___________________________________________________________________________________

Our main website, www.bigfluffydogs.com has more information about us and the rescue process.

NOTE TO EMAILERS FROM PETFINDER: WE DO NOT RESPOND TO EMAIL INQUIRIES WITHOUT AN APPLICATION.
