Owner of the softest fur you’ve ever felt. Aspen is an approximately 4-year-old beagle mix with a heart of gold, velvety-soft ears, and a whole lot of love to give! After unexpectedly losing the only home, he’d ever known, where he lived with his canine brother, Aspen is looking for his next chapter — and we’re determined to make it his happily ever after!<br/><br/>His foster parents describe Aspen as very special and have the following information to share about him. <br/><br/>A LITTLE ABOUT ASPEN:<br/><br/>Professional cuddle bug! Aspen LOVES affection and will happily curl up beside you (or halfway on top of you!). He’s even a fan of snuggling under the covers at night. And his fur? Quite possibly the softest we’ve ever felt!<br/><br/>Playful and adventurous! Aspen loves fetch, walks beautifully on a leash, and is always up for an outing. He’s met approximately 20 dogs and countless people while in our care and has been friendly and easygoing with everyone!<br/><br/>Aspiring couch potato, currently working on his summer beach body! He’s carrying a few extra pounds, but between his love of playing and exploring, he’s well on his way. He’s also house-trained!<br/><br/>A sensitive soul. Aspen loves companionship and has experienced some separation-related distress when left completely alone, including howling and whimpering. We’re helping him build confidence, and he’ll need a family committed to continuing that work.<br/><br/>Aspen spent his first four years with his doggy brother and mother, and would do very well in an adoptive home with a friendly compatible dog friend, who would enjoy his energy level and who would enjoy having a playful companion<br/><br/>Aspen also LOVES exploring the world with his nose, so regular walks and opportunities to sniff to his heart’s content are essential to keeping this little beagle happy and healthy. He also loves being part of the action and would thrive with someone who enjoys including their dog in everyday life, whether that’s running errands, exploring new places, or simply hanging out together. He’s wonderfully social and would likely make an excellent office companion! While he’s still building confidence with alone time, his ideal family will be patient, consistent, and committed to helping him feel secure and independent.<br/><br/>Aspen is the best of both worlds: a happy, playful adventure buddy who’s equally enthusiastic about curling up on the couch for a good snuggle.
