Aspen's Story
Hello everyone! My name is Aspen but you may recognize me as the side eye superstar :D

I came to H4PHS as an unclaimed stray but some local Facebook followers were quick to recognize me. My former family allowed me to run loose as they were sadly ill equipped to care for and contain a Husky. That's right folks, we are notorious escape artists!

They say everything happens for a reason and thank goodness for that. I am so grateful I was picked up by H4PHS as I am MUCH living the good life with my foster mom. I didn't even know what a leash was let alone how to walk on one. Now I enjoy long sniffaris on the nearby nature trail and even love putting on my harness to mush with my foster siblings! True to my Husky roots, I can be quite stubborn yet I have been very responsive to positive redirection and have done remarkably with my foster mom. We have done a lot of work with my frustration tolerance and touch sensitivity. My human friends suspect I was a backyard dog who was unaccustomed to being touched by humans. Through trust and guidance I am learning how incredibly human affection and companionship can be!

As the pawfect pup, I love to finish my dirt digging chaos with some sweet snuggles. I can be a bit selective when choosing "my person" but once I do I am the ultimate velcro dog. I am always by my foster mom's side...or under her feet waiting for her to drop some food :p I would love rooming with some other cool Huskies and even some laidback kitties but am definitely not interested in sharing my new home with children. Due to my energy and all my little quirks, I am searching for an experienced adopter. I'm ready to start running with a new pack. Call the shelter and ask about adopting me!
