Aspen's Story

Meet Aspen!
This gorgeous girl is as loyal as they come and is ready to find her forever family. Aspen is around 2 years old, weighs about 70 lbs, and is fully grown. Without a DNA test we can’t confirm her breed, but we think she may be a Catahoula Leopard Dog mix.

Aspen is currently living with one of our amazing rescue partners in Texas, where she’s been nothing short of a dream. She’s described as the ultimate “good house guest”—great both on and off leash, happy to lounge indoors, and absolutely thrives when she’s part of the family action. Potty trained and medium energy, Aspen is the perfect balance of active and calm. She enjoys walks, playtime, and car rides, but she’s just as happy to patiently sit by your side while you work at the computer. Her favorite place to be is close to her person.

A naturally shy girl, Aspen may need a little patience while she adjusts to new surroundings, but once she bonds, she is the most devoted and loving companion you could ask for. She’s been around dogs of all shapes, sizes, and ages and has done wonderfully with them. She’s also met children without issue, though we always recommend slow, supervised introductions.

Aspen is an ideal match for an adopter who appreciates loyalty, steadiness, and companionship. She would do best in a home with a yard (fenced preferred) where she can stretch her legs. Due to her size and preference for a calmer environment, apartments and condos may not be the best fit. A quieter household where she can settle in at her own pace would allow her to shine as the loyal, affectionate girl she truly is.

Health:
Aspen is spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and on monthly preventatives.

Transport Info:
All of our dogs, including Aspen, are currently located in Texas and will be transported to adopters after placement. Transport is included in the adoption fee. While breed labels are educated guesses, we encourage adopters to focus on personality, lifestyle compatibility, and long-term commitment—not breed alone.
MA License #479
