****We are Pets Are Worth Saving (P.A.W.S) – Stephenville, TX - We are a small, foster based animal rescue, 501(c)3 non-profit organization, based out of Stephenville, TX. We work to rehabilitate and rehome unwanted cats and dogs in Stephenville and surrounding towns. We have recently expanded our scope to include Hamilton County, TX and are currently working with the City of Hamilton and the Hico Police Department to find loving foster and permanent homes for dogs that have been abandoned and have ended up in the Hamilton Pound or the Hico Animal Shelter. <br/> Pets Are Worth Saving (P.A.W.S.)’s mission is to sponsor low cost spay/neuter and wellness exams, provide community education and provide food and supplies to those in need. We also do our best to find loving homes for abandoned, neglected, or abused animals. Our animals are vaccinated and on preventatives. Perhaps Asia is the dog for you.<br/><br/>Meet ASIA!!!<br/><br/>Asia, her sires, (mom a heeler mix, dad a Heinz 57 dog), and her 5 siblings were found abandoned along a County Road near Shive, TX last summer. All spent some time in the Hico, TX shelter before being adopted, except Asia. Asia spent the past month in a foster home, where she was deeply loved, but turned out to be too active for her 70+ and 80 years old fosters. Through no fault of her own she's now back at the shelter.<br/><br/>Asia, is spayed, approximately one year old, about 35-40 lbs. She's house trained, gets along well with other dogs, is fine around children, and is doing pretty well on leash. In her foster home, she loved to run around their fenced 2 acres property, play with their older dogs, and sleep in their bed. She never had any accidents inside the house and didn't chew anything up. She's a great young dog who just need a younger, more active home to grow and thrive in. Could that home be yours?<br/><br/>Asia, is up to date one all her vaccines, is heartworm negative and on preventatives for fleas/ticks/heartworms. We don't know how she is with cats.
