Meet Ashton<br/><br/>Ashton is a 4 year and 7 month old Yellow Labrador Retriever who weighs 88 pounds. He was returned to the shelter because his family was moving after having him since he was a puppy. After growing up in a home, this has been a big adjustment for Ashton, but he remains a very happy and energetic boy who is doing his best to take everything in stride.<br/><br/>Ashton loves to play fetch and will bring the ball right back to you to throw again. He enjoys being active and spending time with his people. He is a strong boy who doesn’t always understand just how big he is, but he is very sweet and has done well with the other dogs here at the shelter. He just happens to be a large guy with a big personality to match.<br/><br/>Ashton is heartworm positive and will receive treatment here at the shelter. He will need a family that is committed to keeping him on monthly heartworm prevention and ensuring he receives regular veterinary care moving forward so he can stay happy and healthy for years to come.<br/><br/>After losing the only home he’s ever known, Ashton is looking for a family who will be committed to him for life and give him the stability he deserves.<br/><br/>We are a shelter located in Gainesville, TX, but we offer transportation services all over the U.S. If you’d like to learn more about Ashton call us anytime at 940-665-9800.
