Ashby's Story

Ashby is a 3-year-old, 10-pound Chihuahua mix with a heart as big as her adorable ears. This sweet girl is ready to leave her mama days behind and step into a life where she gets to be the center of love and attention.

Ashby recently raised a litter of puppies and was truly the best mom—attentive, gentle, and devoted. Now that all of her babies have found their homes, it’s finally her turn to be spoiled and cherished. And she’s more than ready for it—no more puppies for this girl!

When it comes to personality, Ashby is the perfect balance of playful and polite. She absolutely loves other dogs and will happily engage in play with those who are interested. At the same time, she’s wonderfully respectful of pups who prefer their space—such a thoughtful little companion.

With her humans, Ashby is incredibly loving and cuddly. She thrives on closeness and will happily curl up beside you, always wanting to be near her person. If you’re looking for a loyal shadow with a gentle spirit, Ashby might just be your perfect match.

She’s also been making great progress with her manners! Ashby is doing really well using a dog door and with potty training. She’ll do best in a home where someone can help maintain a consistent potty schedule as she continues to build her confidence and routine.

Ashby’s adoption fee is $300, which includes her spay, microchip, and vaccinations—everything she needs to start her new life healthy and happy.

Note: ARF reserves the right to deny any application that is deemed unsuitable for the animal. Please be aware that our animal adoptions are NOT on a first come- first serve basis. Our sole purpose is to find the best possible home for the animals that fall under our care. We do not ship our animals. All adopters are expected to come to Tulsa if approved.

For details on how to adopt please visit http://www.arftulsa.org/adopt.

Our Mission
For more than 25 years, ARF has been helping homeless pets of the Tulsa area find loving homes. We do this by rescuing homeless animals out of area shelters that were possibly in line for euthanasia, placing them in foster homes, providing their comprehensive veterinary care, and finding suitable adoptive homes.
