Ash's Story

Look at me! I look like I walked thru a mud puddle up to my elbows, but really it's just my awesome coloring. My foster named me Ash because she thinks I look like I'm covered in ashes and would make a good firehouse dog.

Anyway, I was born out in the winter cold. We clung together and made it thru for several months when some nice people brought us inside are trying to make friends. We were not around people those first few months, so I'm a bit shy. I am coming out of it though.

I love this thing called belly rubs, I love my crate, I love food and treats and toys. I love playing with my brother, Storm. I'm pretty good walking on a leash but it's still a little scary.

My foster thinks I will be a perfect family dog. I'm big, 42 pounds last check, but I don't jump and am fairly laid back for a puppy. I would really just like a home where there's plenty of love and lots of belly rubs.

If interested, please
complete the
Adoption Application
on our website at
www.NeedyPaws.org
and we will contact you.
Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO.

Our $295 adoption fee includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
