Arthur's Story

Arthur is a sweetheart with lots of personality. He is a happy, hoppy, goofball that loves his people and stuffed duck. :) House trained and crate trained of course! He is a king of being loose and unsupervised in the house. He also rules at sit and wait, and working on enlarging his command base as we speak! He loves his people but is still working on his impulse control. He has not been around children but, due to his size, older kids would best for this guy. He is working on manners with people and dogs. He is also learning to share his toys, he would probably be best as an only dog, but the right female dog may work. He has genetic alopecia so he will need a little extra skin care and lots of sun shirts and winter sweaters, which make him that much more adorable!

He is a 5-6 year old Doberman who has come a long way from being found emaciated, nearly bald, and suffering from a skin infection as a stray. With good food, supplements, and care, his coat is coming back and his goofy Doberman personality is shining through.

Arthur is a classic Velcro Doberman - affectionate, playful, and happiest right by your side. He enjoys training, treadmill workouts, and is working hard on his house manners and potty training after what appears to have been a life mostly outdoors.

He'll need a Doberman-savvy home, continued structure, and someone who appreciates a loyal shadow with a heart of gold.
