What is Wag Again Rescue’s adoption process?

Our dogs are fostered in the Houston, TX area and will be transported to their furever homes, once adopted. For that reason, our adoption process can be a bit more in depth than what you might expect or be used to. -We start off with an adoption application, which, once submitted, is reviewed by our Adoption Coordinator. -Once the application is approved, our Foster Coordinator will reach out to you for a preliminary interview -Once that interview has been completed, the foster will be given your info who will reach out to you and set up a time for a video interview. -During that video interview, our foster, will be looking at many things that will let them know whether you will be a suitable adopter and this will allow you to see the personality of the your future four legged family member. -If the applicant passes the video interview, the foster will reach out to the applicants vet, references (and landlord if renting) to confirm all information. -At this time we will send the applicant an Adoption Contract to fill out and return. -Once all the paperwork is done, we will work with the adopter to make sure travel arrangements (if necessary) are appropriate for both parties. -At this time, the adoption and transport fee will be paid. We realize that our process may seem daunting and potentially over the top, but our goal is to put the right dog with the right person/family. **Please check your spam folder if you have submitted an inquiry!!** ** If you have submitted an inquiry or application and received the initial email or confirmation of receipt of application and you see that the dogs posting has been pulled, don't worry, you are still okay and in the process**
