Arthur's Story

Dogs r abused in many ways. Arthur wound up in a shelter w/not much hope for 2nd chance until Kylene saw Arthur-Pure cocker spaniel in pain from long overdue groom. Scroll way down on FB to see his transition! Contact us if interest in fostering a dog who has lots of love to give, to warm your lap!?Meet Arthur~a sweet senior, 13 yr old, 27 lb. {emaciated, filthy, fur completely matted, ear & eye infections, rotting teeth & a lot of years w/a cherry eye}Arthur does not make his own tears, so he does need over the counter eye wetting drops 4-6 times each day & eye gel morning & night. He has not been fully vetted but is living his best life in his senior years. He spends most of his days sleeping on his comfy bed~ he’s not a snorer. He is housebroken but he walks slowly so getting to the door is a challenge {scooping him up & carrying him outside is easy} He will walk around the yard, take care of business, walk back to his comfy bed by himself. He is hard of hearing & blind in one eye. His vision in his good eye is not 100% but his nose works in overdrive & he can find where he needs to go & who he needs to be near. Arthur requires a special diet of sensitive stomach food to keep him feeling his best. Arthur would do best in a home with a slower pace & someone home most of the day. Arthur does get stressed when he is crated, So he is a “no crate” dog who is just a sweet, affectionate soul with a few extra needs throughout the day. Arthur loves to cuddle with & sleep in bed with his foster mom at night, it isn’t necessary but it sure would make his retirement that much more comfortable.
We could do the hospice foster but he is doing well w/ his currant foster.
Try our 2 week “foster to adopt” w/approved ap-on

www.Lovemuttsrescue.org

Love Mutts Rescue, Inc.'s Adoption Policy
Adoption Methods: FOSTER TO ADOPT: · This method of adoption gives you a 2 week trial period with a pet to see if they are the right fit. This does not apply to puppies and kittens. During that time, the pet remains the property of the rescue. After the two week time period, the pet will be considered adopted and the rescue will no longer be responsible for vetting. Finalizing is a matter of filling out a few paperwork items with you to register your pet’s microchip and such. · The full adoption fee is due before taking the pet home. If it does not work out, we refund the fee less $50. This $50 can be applied towards another pet or is tax deductible as a donation. FULL ADOPTION: · With this method there is no trial period. The pet will officially become yours the day you take them home. If the adoption doesn’t work out you are to return the pet to us versus trying to re-home them. There is no refund if you decide to return the pet.
