Arthor's Story
Approx. DOB: 8/16/2025 Approx Weight: 45 Lbs
Adoption Fee: $250 includes a 2 week trial to ensure everyone's happiness!

Arthor (aka, Thor) is a sweet, happy-go-lucky, playful fellow who is believed to be about 1 year old. After a few days in his foster home, he adapted quite well to sleeping in a crate through the night, although we’re sure he’d also love to sleep in someone’s bed, if given the chance! He is mostly housebroken, being able to hold it entirely overnight. He is still young enough that he needs to be let out after a few hours during the day, although we suspect he’ll be able to make it all day over the next few months. His foster family has started him on leash walks, and he is progressing well. He has also started to play in their pool to get comfortable around water. Turns out that he’s a splasher!

He is currently living with a dachshund and a mixed breed dog about his size. He took to those two dogs immediately. Although he is sometimes a bit energetic for the dachshund (who was born a 65-yo man), he loves to play with the dog who is about his size, so he’d do particularly well in a house with a medium, large, or extra-large dog. His foster family does not have any cats or small children at home, so they do not know how he is around cats or small children. That being said, Thor has such a good nature and seems to love everyone he meets. He can chase a ball for hours (and he actually brings it back to you!), so we know he’d love to play with anyone who is old enough to do this with him. He also really loves to cuddle, and as far as he’s concerned, he is a lap dog. Thor will be a great addition to someone’s family!
I have been neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative, wormed and microchipped. If you are interested in adopting me, please complete the adoption application located at www.furrykidsrefuge.org/adoptadog and a dedicated volunteer will get back to you as soon as possible.
Furry Kids' Refuge is in need of good quality dog and puppy food with meat as the first ingredient. You can drop off donations at our weekly adoption events at the Lee's Summit Petco (1860 NW Chipman Road, Lee's Summit, MO), Saturdays only from 11am to 2:00 p.m. Donations are tax deductible as allowed by law.
Would you like to foster a Furry Kid?
