Artemis's Story

Artemis is a 1 & 1/2 year old Australian Kelpie. She is a high energy love bug who is as smart as she is loyal, which is a lot. Australian Kelpie are working dogs raised to herd sheep and man does she live up to the breed. Intensely intelligent, training is second nature to her (especially if there's treats) She's crate trained, potty trained, and leash trained. She loves making friends, but being a herding dog, she uses nips as communication. Sweet as can be and always ready to play, Artemis is the perfect dog for an active, attentive, and loving family.

4 Paws Support, Inc.'s Adoption Policy
The adoption process begins by first securing a foster home for the dog. Once in foster care, we ensure the dog is healthy and prepare them for adoption by providing necessary vaccinations and spaying/neutering. We then take photos, create a bio, and bring the dog to adoption events to help find potential adopters. When an interested party is found, we schedule a meet-and-greet. If the meeting goes well, the adopter is asked to complete an adoption application. We conduct reference checks, and if everything is satisfactory, we finalize the adoption. The adopter then signs an agreement transferring ownership of the dog.
