This process includes:<br/>- Completion of Adoption Application<br/>- Veterinarian Check<br/>- Reference Checks (non-relatives)<br/>- Home Visit<br/><br/>Our ultimate goal is to screen and counsel potential homes to the best of our ability in an effort to find the most perfect match and fit for their lifestyle.<br/><br/>Please keep in mind that color and appearance of the available dog will have no bearing on adoption placement decisions.<br/><br/>***$300 Adoption Fee***<br/><br/>--------------------------------<br/><br/>ABOUT CALVIN:<br/>Rep: Laura Kempf / aussie330@aol.com<br/><br/>Calvin is located in Fort Worth, TX and it is required that you travel there to meet him in person within 10 days of application approval if you want to adopt (exceptions can be made for out-of-state applicants). We do need the entire party to be involved when meeting available dogs, including every family member and dog(s) that currently live in your home.<br/><br/>Calvin is a sweet, friendly Australian Shepherd with a laid-back personality and just the right amount of playful charm. He’s great with people of all ages, does well with children, and gets along nicely with other dogs and cats. His age is estimated to be between 4-5 years old. <br/><br/>While he isn’t high-energy, Calvin definitely has a fun, playful side. He enjoys playing with both people and other dogs, loves chasing toys, and will also happily entertain himself with toys when you’re busy. Overall, he’s a very chill, easygoing guy.<br/><br/>Calvin is kennel-trained, non-destructive, and walks well on a leash. On walks, he may show interest in other dogs, but he is non-reactive and easily redirected—he continues walking once they’ve passed and remains calm even around reactive dogs. He also enjoys car rides and tolerates them well.<br/><br/>He’s friendly, relaxed, and a joy to have around. One thing to note: during playtime, Calvin may grab and pull at clothes with his teeth, and he considers counter-surfing an enjoyable sport, so supervision and boundaries are helpful.<br/><br/>✨ Personality Highlights:<br/> - Friendly and social<br/> - Laid-back but playful<br/> - Great with kids, dogs, and cats<br/> - Kennel-trained<br/> - Not destructive<br/> - Enjoys toys and playtime<br/> - Walks well on leash<br/> - Non-reactive on walks<br/><br/>Calvin would be a wonderful companion for someone looking for a relaxed, affectionate dog with a playful spark. 💙<br/><br/>We are still getting to know him, so check back for updates!
