We do need the entire party to be involved when meeting available dogs, including every family member and dog(s) that currently live in your home.

Meet Mick!
Mick is a gentle, affectionate 5-year-old pup who’s looking for a warm, loving home. He’s fully housebroken, non-destructive, and overall an easy companion to have around. With his calm, lower-energy personality, Mick is happiest just hanging out with his people and soaking up all the affection he can get.

Personality & Home Life
Mick loves being near his humans and will happily curl up by your side. He enjoys spending time in his crate by choice, though he has figured out how to unlatch the door when he’s ready to come out—he’s a clever one! He’s also smart enough to push down door handles to let himself into rooms, so his future family should be prepared for a little canine ingenuity.

He occasionally carries around a stuffed animal like a prized possession, which only adds to his sweet, endearing nature.

Behavior & Training
Mick can experience some separation anxiety, so he’ll do best with someone who’s home often or can provide a consistent routine. He’s not afraid of storms, though loud thunder can startle him briefly.

He’s good on a leash and enjoys relaxed walks. He shows interest in people and in saying hello to other dogs. Mick does have a prey drive—bunnies, squirrels, and birds are very exciting!

Social Skills
Mick is friendly and polite with visitors and doesn’t react when he sees people walking on the street or when they come to the door. He enjoys being around people and welcomes new friends with an open heart.

Car Rides & Outings
He rides well in the car and genuinely loves going out for adventures, even though he’s laid-back overall.

Mick is the perfect match for someone seeking a sweet, calm, intelligent companion who just wants to be close to his humans. If you're looking for an affectionate friend with a big heart and a gentle soul, Mick might be your guy.

Additional info:
He’s a big boy at 72.8 pounds, but we are working on his diet!
