We do need the entire party to be involved when meeting available dogs, including every family member and dog(s) that currently live in your home.

Kiwi is a stunning 11-month-old double merle Australian Shepherd with a sweet soul and a heart full of love. This girl may have a hearing impairment and some vision issues but that doesn’t slow her down one bit—she is curious, affectionate, and eager to bond with her people.

Kiwi thrives on love and attention and adores cuddle time. She is crate trained but really prefers to be part of whatever is going on in the household. Whether she is lounging at your feet, snuggling next to you on the sofa watching TV, or following you around the house, Kiwi is happiest when she is near her humans.

She gets along well with other dogs, can be vocal when playing a rousing game of chase or “bitey face”, and has plenty of energy for walks but also takes plenty of naps. She is a nice medium energy girl who has never met a stranger and will wiggle her way right into your heart.

While training is a little more challenging due to her hearing impairment, she can see movement so she is learning some training hand signals. She also wears a vibration collar (that will come with her to her forever home) to let her know to look at or come to her foster mom. She would do best in a calm, patient home that understands her needs and will continue her training journey.

She travels well in a car…no carsickness…but does expect you to hand over a treat every now and then while traveling. She loves going for walks where she gets to sniff to her heart’s content. So most walks can be slow and steady not a race to the finish.

Kiwi is spayed, heartworm negative, up-to-date on vaccinations and ready for a forever family that will cherish her uniqueness.

Could you be the one to give this special girl the loving home she deserves?
