Arny's Story
Meet Arny — a truly special boy, 2 years old and 40 lbs of pure sweetness

Arny is the kind of dog who makes people smile without trying. Gentle, affectionate, and deeply people-oriented, he loves being close to his humans. Whether it’s a peaceful walk or curling up for cuddles afterward, Arny’s happiest place is right by your side.

As a tiny puppy, Arny was found alone and confused on a busy street, likely abandoned far too young. Thanks to the kindness of a good-hearted stranger, he was brought to SOS El Arca Animal Rescue, where he grew up safe, loved, and waiting for his forever family.

Along the way, a veterinarian discovered that Arny has hypothyroidism. The good news? It’s a very manageable condition with an excellent prognosis.

Arny’s care is simple and routine:
• Levotiroxina 500 — half a pill every 12 hours
• Pentoxifilina 400 mg — half a pill every 12 hours
• A limited-ingredient diet of lamb and rice

With consistent medication, dogs like Arny live full, happy, normal lives, often showing wonderful improvements in energy, mood, and overall well-being.

Arny’s gentle heart truly shines. He is wonderful with children, patient and kind, and his calm nature makes him a great companion for other dogs and even cats. He doesn’t ask for much — he just wants to love and be loved in return.

He is crate trained, walks nicely on a leash, and is ready to step right into home life.

Arny is looking for a family who can offer love, routine, and commitment. In return, he promises unwavering loyalty, soft cuddles, and a heart completely devoted to his people.

Arny is currently at the shelter we support and has the chance to travel to New York on January 24 if we can find an adopter or foster-to-adopt home.

If you believe love sometimes comes with a little extra care — and a whole lot of reward — Arny may be the one you’ve been waiting for!
Email us at sosanimalwelfare@gmail.com
and take the first step toward forever.
