Arnold's Story
Arnold is currently in a foster home. If you would like to meet him, please start by visiting www.sccrescue.org and completing an application.

Arnold is a distinguished little gentleman with a charming underbite and a heart as soft as his snowy coat. This sweet senior has clearly mastered the art of living well—he’s completely house trained, politely lets you know when he needs to go out, and prefers the simple pleasures of life: a cozy bed, a gentle hand, and a peaceful home. He’s not one for chaos or commotion; Arnold is happiest when he’s lounging nearby, soaking up affection and offering quiet companionship in return.

Despite his age, Arnold is wonderfully easygoing with everyone he meets. He gets along beautifully with dogs, cats, and humans of all ages, though he tends to take a “live and let live” approach with other pets. He rarely barks (in fact, almost never!) and doesn’t have a single bad habit to his name. Deaf due to long-term ear issues, Arnold navigates the world in his own calm, unbothered way—ambling through the yard, taking slow strolls around the block, and settling into one of his many favorite nap spots without a care in the world.

Arnold does have a few medical needs, including eye medication and ongoing ear care, and he prefers soft food due to having only a few teeth—but what he asks for in care, he gives back tenfold in love. He’s simply looking for a quiet, comfortable place to spend his golden years, surrounded by kindness and warmth. If you’ve got a soft spot for senior pups and a peaceful home to share, Arnold will reward you with unwavering companionship and the sweetest little smile you’ve ever seen.

We love our dogs. We want happy lives for all of them and are looking for the home that provides the best fit for each dog’s individual needs. Please understand that there may be multiple families interested in this dog.

Also, please know that the breed mix listed is simply a guess. In most cases, we don’t know their background. We encourage you to base your decision on individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on our guess.

Please understand, we only adopt our animals out near the Chicagoland area. Questions? Email us at adoptions@sccrescue.org. Hope to see you become part of the SCCR family!
