Arlo's Story

Meet Arlo, a sweet & energetic 1 yr old, 40lb boy who is ready for his furever home where he can play until he can’t play any more.

Arlo is truly a family dog as he loves the human boys in his house as much as he loves playing with his dog foster brothers.

Due to his playful nature, Arlo can be a little too much for small animals like cats, but he loves to play with dogs whether it is wresting or chase.

We aren’t sure what breed Arlo is, but we know he was surrendered to an East Tennessee high kill shelter after his owners said there other dogs didn’t like Arlo.

We are guessing Arlo’s puppy energy might have been too much for the other pups as Arlo loves other dogs, people & really just everything life brings his way like any big puppy love.

Arlo is leash trained, currently lives in a home with several small children and many dogs. He knows some commands.

We believe Arlo would do best in an active home with a playful dog friend who has as much energy as Arlo. Due to his energy, Arlo needs a fenced yard. Arlo would also benefit from someone who has previous dog training or is interested in practicing training techniques.

Arlo is fully vetted and ready to bring joy and fun to his furever family.

Arlo is currently located in Owensboro, KY, but transport will be arranged for the right home.

Apply at herohounds.org if interested in Arlo!
