Arlo's Story

Hi! I'm a very handsome male treeing walker coonhound! I was born on 1/2/2023, so I'm only about 2.5 years old. I need a new home because my people have to move to take care of their aging parent & they can't take me with them. I'm an obedient boy - at least sometimes :) I'm also quite active & playful! I really like to play tug-of-war & ball! I'm smart, too! I'm housetrained & crate trained! I'll bark when I need to go outside. I LOVE my crate. I like to sleep in it at night. I'm good around other dogs, & I live with my brother Auzzie. Auzzie also needs a new home, but we are totally fine with going to separate homes. I'm not good with cats, though. If you want to take me for walks on the leash, then I would need some work on leash training. But I'm a smart guy & I would get the hang of it! I'm a big boy! I weigh about 80 lbs. I'm already up-to-date on vaccines & neutered. So now I just need a forever home! Are you it??? Please think about making me part of your family! Kennel License #4068

Nittany Beagle Rescue's Adoption Policy

Thank you for your interest in adopting a rescue dog & Nittany Beagle Rescue! We are a foster-home based rescue. We hold showings on the 1st & 3rd Saturday of the month at Lyons Kennels in Bellefonte, PA from 11am - 1pm. You can meet some of our dogs then! Please email or send a PM on our FB page if you want to know if a particular dog will be at the showing. If you are interested in a particular dog, or a type of dog, please submit an application to foster or adopt (it's the same application form). Once you have an approved application for a dog, we will connect you with the dog's foster parent. Typically the potential adopter & foster talk on the telephone first. Then if the dog seems like a good fit, we arrange a personal meet & greet.
