Arlo's Story

Meet Arlo! An absolute dream of a best friend filled with so much love, licks, and cuddles to give. This boy found himself as a stray on the streets fighting to survive before wondering into a county shelter and quickly finding himself HOURS away from euthanasia due to overcrowding and complete shut down and stress in the walls of shelter life. Arlo was pulled right before his deadline into a warm and comfy home where he was able to decompress and come out of his shell. We quickly learned Arlo is a gem of a boy! He LOVES people and loves to be around anyone. He was able to calm down in a home and just genuinely is happy to be alive and around those he loves. He enjoys licks, snuggles, sunbathing, and any kind of attention you can give. Arlo is playful and likes to run outside or go on walks, however he also can relax and nap in his crate with a comfy bed or around the house. He currently lives with two other dogs and would thrive in a home where he has all the attention or another companion that is the right fit for everyone’s temperament. He’s a smart boy and listens well, not a big barker and wants to please his owner. No cats please and younger children may not be a good long term fit based on him being over excitable.

It would have been a true tragedy for Arlo to not make it out of shelter life and it’s been a pleasure watching him grow into himself and become the happy dog he deserves, but it’s time for him to settle into his forever home.

Arlo is a rehome and to meet him, you can start by filling out an application: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HFGM/Dog
