Aria 26C-256's Story

When six-month-old Aria and the human arrived at the Humane Society bark park, the usual bandana placement was started. Aria immediately laid down and started to roll over onto her back. The human instantly backed off and with patience, kind words and a calming energy, gave Aria time to ease into the unfamiliar environment. A few moments later, Aria still remained rather shy as she began the park exploration The human, who has been around for a few decades, had a lyric pop into his head, (still filled with the best music of the past 40 years), that seemed to illuminate the bark park situation. “Hey girl, move a little closer...You’re too shy, shy, hush-hush, eye to eye,” crooned by a rather unique band, Kajagoogoo. Serendipitously, Aria flipped a switch and the trusting smiles and energies became replete with joy, wonder, and hope. Her soft, expressive eyes were filled with admiration and thankfulness as she expressed the desire just to be close, touched, and loved. If you have space in your heart for sweet Aria, whose name is an Italian/Latin derivation which means “air” or “melody,” she is silently singing for you at the Humane Society for Animals in Rogers, AR. And perhaps you can join her as you settle back and let You Tube play Too Shy (extended Midnight mix), her favorite, in her heart pop/rock music from the past.
