Ares's Story

Meet Ares!

Ares is a 7-9 y/o Staffie/Lab mix that suffers from chronic ear infections.

Ares is a great family dog. Absolutely adores children of all ages. He is good with cats. However, he does not like small dogs, male dogs or any unfamiliar dogs. He does not do well with livestock or rodents. Large breed chill, female dogs are more to his liking.

He does great on walks, although he can pull at times. He is easily corrected and listens very well. He knows basic tricks and is very food driven. He loves to chew on bones and gets playful when excited. Ares has a beautiful coat of fur that lightens in the summertime to an ashy brown. He will need forever care for his ears and forever ear drops daily for maintenance. He does well when applying medication to his ears. He is a free roam dog within the home and does not chew anything he’s not supposed to. He can be trusted to not potty in the house for more than 10 hours. He is a cuddle bug but also a bed hog when he’s in bed with you. He is kennel trained and will not leave the house when the door is left open. This boy also loves car rides!!

Please, only apply if you can give Ares a fur-ever home.

If you are interested in adopting Ares, you must fill out an application first. You can go to www.LAFPOGCW.org to complete one, or message us here and we will email you a copy.

You must fill out and submit an application to even be considered for a meet and greet.
