Archie's Story

Archie is currently 39 pounds of pure energy and fun. Initially we were told he was 1.5 year old, but after getting him professionally groomed and completing his vet examination it is believed he is still very much a puppy and is between 8 and 10 months old. He is a super sweet little guy, gets along well with people and other dogs. We haven't seen him around cats so we don't know how he reacts to them. He does walk on a leash and also rides in a car well. Some of his best attributes are: very smart, learned to sit in less than 1 day's time, very loving, wants to please, wants to be with his people and will follow you all over the house, is doing great with house training - we use a belly band right now, but he never goes in it and waits until he is taken outside, he is a great eater and is very healthy. His largest area of opportunity is currently learning not to jump and getting enough exercise for a young man his age. We certainly think some of the energy issues will be addressed by his upcoming neuter, but he definitely needs some basic obedience training. He is a doodle so regular brushing will be important as well as appointments with a professional groomer to help keep his coat mat-free and manageable. Currently we have not noticed him shedding nor does he have visible dander. He also needs a home with a moderate to active level of activity. He does enjoy sitting on the sofa and getting his belly rubbed, but this is generally after a walk or play session in the back yard. He is still very much a puppy at heart. If you are interested in Archie, email iPAWinc2022@gmail.com for an application.
