Archie's Story
Archie is an approximately 10-month German Shepherd mix, around 40–50 pounds, with a sweet heart, goofy personality, and so much love to give.

As far as we know, Archie was found on the side of the road in Lake County and was likely dumped. He had no microchip, and despite being posted to social media, no one came forward for him. Now he’s ready for a fresh start with a family who will love him the way he deserves.

Archie is affectionate, gentle, and loves being close to his people. He’s definitely a “leaner” and would happily climb into your lap if given the chance. He can get excited when he’s getting lots of attention and, because he’s still a young dog, he doesn’t always realize his size—making him adorably clumsy and goofy at times.

He is potty trained, crate trained, and walks very nicely on leash. Archie is mostly calm and quiet, though he still has playful puppy bursts of energy where he may bark or yip with excitement.

Archie gets along well with children and other dogs, but he is not a fit for a home with cats.

He can be a bit anxious in the car and tends to pace. If more than one person is riding with him, he may try to sit in someone’s lap. It’s also important to know that he should always ride securely, as he may try to jump out of an open window.

Archie would thrive in a loving home that can continue giving him structure, guidance, and the stability every young dog needs to succeed.

💛 Archie’s adoption includes the option to attend group behavior training classes, a wonderful resource for building confidence, reinforcing good habits, and strengthening the bond between you and your new best friend.

If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, and wonderfully goofy companion, Archie could be your perfect match.
