Archie's Story

Archie and another dog were running loose on a country road in the summer heat. When his friend was hit by a car and killed, Archie stayed with the body for three days. It took several hours for a rescuer to lure him out out from under the car where he was hiding, but when he came out, he was sweet and affectionate. He's still timid with each new person. We think Archie would do well with older kids.

Archie likes playing with other friendly dogs, and he would love a home with a confident, playful dog who will help him develop confidence. Archie needs a home with a fenced yard.

Final Frontier Rescue Project's Adoption Policy
Our goal is to make good matches of dogs, people, and home environments. Our application and screening process may feel onerous, but we want lifetime matches, and if it does not work out, we take our dogs back, so we do our best to prevent that! We are all volunteers and we will respond to your inquiry or application as soon as we can, usually within 1-2 days. If none of our dogs is a good fit, we encourage responsible adopters to visit their local shelter to foster or adopt.
