Archie <br/><br/>He’s such a sweetheart. His social skills with dogs are blossoming and he’s hung out with dogs from 10-100 pounds and loves to play. <br/><br/>Archie is learning so fast. On arrival he had no concept of the leash and panicked and crocodile rolled, but he’s picking it up quickly and learning to love walks. And he learned that people can be wonderful and a crate is a cozy place to sleep and have meals. He thrives on good direction and leadership and will benefit from ongoing confidence building with new people and situations. <br/><br/>This adorable boy was scheduled for euthanasia in a crowded shelter to make room for all the 4th of July strays. He’s about 35 pounds, maybe 18-24 months old and didn’t seem to know anything about being a loved companion. But he loves people, loves attention and other dogs and clearly longs to trust and learn. He has met cats and was playfully curious. He would no doubt chase a cat that runs but could probably live with cats with proper introductions and management. <br/><br/>Archie looks like he could be a Cattledog/poodle mix (a cattledooodle ). Those scruffy mutts we used to call terrier mixes almost always come back as poodle mixes when we DNA test them. But whatever he is, he’s a great medium size and cute as can be. We look forward to showing him how sweet life can be.
