Archie's Story

We welcomed Archie into care yesterday . So many many tears .
Some dogs , those that have been neglected , abused , or never knew love come into rescue to a better life than the one they had . There is food now and shelter from the elements and once they can accept us , love .
Not so with Archie . This boy had a family who loved him very much and I imagine always will . And now his family is gone .
Here is Archie’s story .
Archie and his family live in Texas . Archie had always been a healthy boy and then the allergies hit . Not just a little scratch here , a little scratch there , but intense itching and he began to lose his fur . Lesions began to appear on his skin .
Allergy testing was done and Texas Cedar Pollen was identified as the culprit . Nothing that was tried relieved Archies discomfort . The only suggestion given to the family was to relocate .
So this year when the family arrived in WI for their yearly visit with family they brought Archie . The hope was he could stay with family but for a good reason that was not to be . But they did visit rescues and remained In WI until they found one they felt comfortable leaving their dear boy with .
Archie is 3 years old . He is healthy other than the allergies .
He loves small dogs. Cats and children ! He is house trained . He is a cuddler . He has been loved dearly.
We are looking for an adoptive home or a permanent foster home .
If interested in taking Archie in please email wooflodge@yahoo.com
Thank you !
Carole and Crew
