Archer is looking for his person.<br/><br/>Around 4 years old, Archer is a handsome Shepherd mix with a loyal heart, a sharp mind, and so much potential. He came to Noah's Arc as a local stray, and while we don't know much about his past, we know he's worked incredibly hard to prepare for his future.<br/><br/>Since coming into rescue, Archer has completed heartworm treatment, spent time in foster care, and participated in professional training with Integrity K9. Along the way, he's become a well-mannered, intelligent companion who genuinely enjoys learning and spending time with his people.<br/><br/>Archer rides beautifully in the car, walks nicely on leash, enjoys going on public outings, and already knows commands like sit and down. He's eager to please and thrives when he has clear expectations, routine, and a confident leader.<br/><br/>He has done well with other dogs when introductions are slow and thoughtful, and he has also been around cats successfully. Archer isn't looking for perfection-he's looking for consistency. Like many Shepherds, he's happiest when he has structure and someone he can trust.<br/><br/>Archer would do best in an active home that understands working breeds and enjoys including their dog in everyday life. He'll need a securely fenced yard, as he's athletic and capable of clearing a shorter fence if something catches his attention, and he's not suited for a home with livestock or farm animals.<br/><br/>The right family won't see Archer as a project-they'll see him for what he truly is: an incredibly loyal dog who has already put in the work and is ready to devote himself to someone willing to give him the forever home he's been waiting for.<br/><br/>If you're looking for a smart, devoted companion and are ready to build an incredible bond, Archer just might be your perfect match.<br/><br/>Noah's Arc Animal Rescue is a nonprofit animal rescue serving East Tennessee since 1991. We are committed to rescuing homeless dogs and cats, providing the medical care they need, and helping them find loving, lifelong homes. Our pets are spayed/neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, current on flea/tick prevention, dewormed, and examined by a veterinarian. Dogs are heartworm tested and cats are FIV/FeLV tested when age appropriate.
