Archer's Story

Hi, my name is Archer Boone!

I am 110 lbs of fluff. I'm a Chesapeake Bay Retriever and Hound mix, with a temperament of both breeds. I love being close to my family, ready for all the scratches or playtime. I have yet to meet a toy I can not fully dismantle, play my favorite tug of war, or fetch with. I also find quiet time alone in my crate comforting.

I am house and crate-trained, but love to spend time outdoors where I can run and play.... rain, snow, or shine. I am safest with a sturdy fence or secure tie-out so I won't be tempted to run away. I enjoy multiple walks each day, but I do have a strong instinct to hunt, so my human should be aware of passersby or I will surely take them on a fast adventure of discovery!

I am very curious about other dogs and cats but don't do well with smaller dog friends. I have a fear of them eating my food or taking up time with my human. I need a little extra time to meet new friends, human and furry alike.
I am very smart and eager to learn and please my family. I'm motivated by verbal commands, treats, and audible training devices.

I take daily medication for allergies that cause my eyes and ears to be super itchy. I do best when my diet does not include chicken or hard cheese chews.

I am 6 years old as of June 2025. I have been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. My adoption fee (with an approved application) is $106.

If you are interested in adopting this particular dog or puppy, please see our Adoption Guidelines at http://www.humanesocietyall.com/applications/ .
