Born July 6, 2019, Ara is a female German Shepherd mix seeking a forever home. Here is what her foster mom says about her, "Ara is a super sweet, beautiful girl. She loves to observe everything going on around her. She has her energetic moments but overall she's a great cuddle bug. She has this sweet, melting brown eyes. She is cautious when company comes, she likes to go into her kennel and watch them for a bit before she comes out to greet them, she likes to assess her surroundings. Ara has early onset hip dysplasia - while she can still be active with other dogs and run the yard, she will not be a good running, hiking buddy. If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, please visit Mikeyschance.com to find out about our adoption procedures. We do not have a central facility where you can meet our dogs, because they are in foster homes. Once you have been approved to adopt a dog we will gladly arrange for you to meet any dogs that are potentially a good fit for your home. We carefully review each application and place dogs based on a variety of criteria. Ultimately, we will always act in the best interest of the dog. We will conduct a background check on each adult living in the home. We will contact your vet. Mikey’s Chance also conducts home-checks to assure the best possible placement of all our rescue animals. PLEASE NOTE: It is our policy to only adopt to homes where the current pets: Are up to date on vaccinations; Have been either spayed or neutered; and Have received routine veterinary care. Applications that do not meet this policy shall be denied.
