Appletater's Story

**Due to his breed, Appletater is a manager-approval adoption. He is available to meet on the weekend, but an adoption can only be finalized Tuesday-Friday from 1 to 4 PM. Please contact us with any questions.**

Meet Appletater!
Appletater has a silly name to match his equally silly personality. This big boy is 73 pounds of pure fun. He's incredibly sweet, and has a personality that will make you fall in love! He's playful and active, and would love a family that can include him on their adventures.
When you meet Appletater you might notice right off the bat that his ears look a ltitle rough. He recently had surgery in both ears to fix hematomas, and still has a drain on one side to help fix the issue. He is available for adoption while he heals, but his owner will need to finish his current round of medications and take him back to the vet for check-ups in the coming weeks to ensure he heals 100%. We also believe that APpletater deals with some allergies, and since putting him on a grain-free food he has done much better.
Appletater was picked up as a stray inside town, and unfortunately his owners never came to pick him up. He's now on the lookout for a new home where he can be loved once more! Since he was initially a stray, we don't know much about his background. He seems to get along with our other dogs when they pass by his kennel, but we have yet to introduce him to any. We also have not seen him around cats or kids. We recommend a meet and greet with the whole family prior to adoption to make sure it is a good fit!
Appletater's perfect day would be 80% nap time and 20% play. He loves to be chased around our yard or to have you throw toys for him. Be careful, as he tends to jump when excited, and his size can knock someone down if they aren't paying attention!
Appletater is truly a one-of-a-kind sweetheart that anyone would be lucky to bring home! He has received his first round of vaccinations and is officially ready to move out of the shelter and into his forever home. So don't wait - come out to meet Appletater today!
