Apple Great Hiking Buddy! Loves the Outdoors! in Hamden CT's Story

• Age: 3
• Breed: Plotthound/Bully Mix with Chihuahua!
• Weight: 45 Lbs.
• She can be left alone for a few hours at a time. She sleeps in the living room at night, not in a crate. Fully house trained. She's also used to being in her crate for a few hours. She enjoys being out in the yard. I work from home most days, so I let her hang out in the yard while I am home. She's also used to being with other dogs. I have other dogs she has no issues with, and I have family who come over with their small dogs, and she gets along great with them. When I leave my house, I leave her out in the living room with my chihuahua for hours at a time, and there are never any issues. I have a friend who comes by with his German shepherd, and they play together, or she’ll walk away from him. I would say maybe be careful around other female dogs her size.
• I am taking her to get her shots this week so she will be entirely up to date on all required vaccinations
• She's used to walking on a leash- she will pull a little at first, but is generally good on a leash- she does get walked daily
• Not a barker at all only if there is someone at the door.

• Ideally, her new home would be with someone who enjoys staying active and going on walks. She loves to play, so having someone with the time and energy to engage with her would be perfect. She's very responsive and trainable, but I haven’t had as much time as she needs to work on her training on basic commands other than come here and go inside. When I take her to the park, she can be off-leash and stay beside me. She listens well when I call her to come inside or come to me. She’ll need a yard and preferably a house with space to move around and enjoy the outdoors. She deserves someone who can dedicate time to her and give her lots of love. She truly is a sweet, loving, and wonderful dog.
• She's never had an issue with other dogs (other than Yoyo my other dog- she’s a 10yr old American Bully); she generally just wants to play when she sees them, and I have not seen her aggressive towards any other dog. She is in Hamden CT but we can transport anywhere. Foster to Adopt Option offered! Ask for her video! PS the Chihuahua bit is she loves to slowly gather all her toys in a pile. Speak to her Foster Mommy! Fully Vetted and healthy.
