At just one year old, I’ve got the perfect mix of playful puppy energy and laid-back charm. I came into rescue because I needed cherry eye surgery, and sadly no one wanted to take that on. But AZ Mastiff Rescue made sure I got the care I needed — and just look at my eyes now... handsome, bright, and ready to steal hearts! I’m an active boy who loves to play, get the zoomies, and then happily crash for a good nap. I’m dog friendly, love going for walks, enjoy car rides, and best of all — I truly love everyone I meet. My happy personality makes me an easy companion whether we’re out on an adventure or relaxing at home. I’m ready to be someone’s loyal best friend and bring a whole lot of joy into a very lucky home. My name is Appa! I’m not totally sure what my name means, but I’m pretty convinced it stands for very cool dog. At just one year old, I’ve got the perfect mix of playful puppy energy and laid-back charm.

The adoption process is simple and we try to make it as quick as possible. The steps are as follows: 1. Fill out an application at one of our websites. www.azmastiffrescue.com 2. We will call you to do a phone interview. 3. We will conduct a home visit. 4. You meet our dogs and adopt. You must be willing to drive to meet our dogs. It is really the best way for you to choose the dog that fits you best. And it gives you an opportunity to meet all of our dogs. Occasionally, if a potential home is near where the dog is being fostered then the dog can be brought to meet you during the home visit. We work hard to insure that our dogs fit the homes that they go into. We will only place a dog into a home that fits. We make every effort for you to adopt the dog of your choice.
