Appa's Story

If you’re looking for a big, bouncy bundle of joy, Appa is ready to launch his way right into your life! This friendly, high-energy guy is all about fun, connection, and making every day feel like playtime. Appa is a fetch enthusiast through and through. He loves chasing the ball and zooming after it with full commitment. He's still working on bringing it back every time, but with a little guidance and a lot of tennis balls, this goofy boy is well on his way to becoming a fetch pro. Volunteers adore Appa for his playful spirit and affectionate nature. He’s the kind of dog who greets you with full-body tail wags and keeps you smiling with his silly antics. Life with Appa means laughter, movement, and a whole lot of love.

Because he’s such an enthusiastic guy, Appa can get a little jumpy when he’s excited and is still learning his manners. For this reason, any children in his new home are required to be age 10 or older so they can help support his continued training. Appa is still learning how to interact with other dogs in an appropriate manner, but he may enjoy having a large canine companion after a slow and structured introduction. If you already have a big pup at home, we are requiring that they meet here at the shelter to make sure it’s a great match. However, Appa is not a fan of small animals, so he’ll need a home without cats, small dogs, or other little critters. Appa is looking for an active family who’s ready to embrace his energy, continue his training, and enjoy all the fun that comes with a young, spirited dog. In return, you’ll get a loyal, affectionate, and endlessly entertaining best friend. If you’re ready for a goofy, lovable sidekick, Appa is ready to bounce his way into your heart!

Adoption Price: $150
Adoption Fees Waived!
