Geraldine Foundation for Strays - GFStrays's Adoption Policy
Potential adopters and foster-to-adopt persons will be contacted ASAP - we will respond to texts, direct phone calls & email inquiries. We do background checks and require personal references and Vet references as part of the adoption process. As part of the adopt/foster process a home check will be required as well as a photo ID. Preliminary jpgs of the home, other pets and/or children living in the home and the space the dog will be cared for in may also be requested prior to the home-check. We are primarily focused on dog placement in the New Jersey and New York areas. Whenever possible we will arrange for mutually agreeable meets and transport if required. GFStrays will review and contact after receipt ASAP.
