Apollo (AP26-126)'s Story

Apollo is a 7-year-old Newfoundland mix weighing in at a big, lovable 101 pounds. This gentle giant has a calm, friendly nature and is the kind of dog who enjoys being close to his people. He walks well on a leash and is house trained, making him a wonderful companion for a home looking for a steady, easygoing presence.

Apollo is bonded to his best friend, Vega (AP26-127), and they should remain together if at all possible. These two love to spend their days playing together and going on walks side by side, showing just how special their connection is.

A meet and greet at the shelter will be required to ensure it's a good fit for any existing pets in the home.

If you're ready to open your heart and home to a sweet, devoted pair, Apollo and Vega are sure to bring twice the love, companionship, and joy into your life.
------
Before being rescued, many of our dogs had limited socialization, so they may need some time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog's individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of these dogs adapt quite quickly. Being a part of their rehabilitation is a truly rewarding experience. To learn more about mill dogs and start the adoption process, visit our website!
