Apollo's Story

Apollo is a 1.5 yr old male Australian Shepherd/Blue Heeler mix. He is scheduled to be neutered on 1/20/2026 and will be available for adoption after that date. He is up to date on all of his vaccines.

He comes to us through no fault of his own. He is a HIGH energy dog. Because he hasn’t had a lot of training or exercise regularly, he lacks confidence and has high anxiety. He will need an EXPERIENCED owner that can help work with him and help him build confidence and become the great dog he can be! He is SUPER smart and catches on to commands quickly. The previous owner advised he did great with other dogs. He gets over excited when meeting new people. He has not had experience with cats. When he has seen the cats at the shelter he has not paid too much attention to them, but we don’t truly know how he’ll be in a home situation with cats. He may try to herd them. If you are interested in meeting Apollo, stop by the shelter. We are open from 10a-2p, 7 days a week. If any questions, please call the shelter. 906-643-7646.
