Apollo's Story

Meet Apollo & Medusa
*(Must be adopted together)*

**Apollo - The Radiant God of Joy**

True to his namesake, Apollo is all sunshine and enthusiasm. He genuinely doesn't believe he has a mean bone in his body and approaches life with open paws and a wagging tail. He **adores people** and absolutely *demands* love and attention from strangers-sometimes with a little too much excitement. Because he's a big, strong boy and a joyful jumper, slow, thoughtful introductions are important so no one gets accidentally knocked over. The good news? Tell Apollo to stop, and he listens-he just gets very excited meeting new humans.

Apollo loves **car rides**, happily gazing out the window like a god surveying his kingdom. He's an **active guy** who enjoys rope toys to burn off energy and does well with structure. He is **house trained**, crate trained (he may whine briefly but settles), and knows his basic cues: **sit, stay, and drop it**. While treats help-especially for crating-Apollo responds even more to praise and affection.
Thunderstorms make him clingy, but otherwise he's confident and resilient. He does well at the vet, is easy to handle, friendly with staff (especially if Milkbone treats are involved), and tolerates baths-though he may try to wander off mid-rinse. He thinks brushing is a game and may spin around, and his nails naturally stay filed from walks.
Apollo has a **positive history with cats and dogs**, loves children, and above all else, **loves his sister Medusa**. They sleep curled up together, play endlessly, and he settles more easily when she's near.

**A Perfect Balance**

Together, Apollo and Medusa are the definition of harmony-**Apollo brings confidence and joy, Medusa brings calm and reassurance**. He helps her feel brave in new situations; she helps him settle and feel grounded. Their bond is unbreakable, and they truly shine when they're together.
