Apollo's Story

Apollo recently spent some time in a foster home, and she could not stop raving about him.

This dog who had lived his entire life on a chain walked into a house and handled it like an old pro. He was cool, calm and collected inside and out—and figured out a full flight of hardwood stairs in record time.

Apollo came from a recent neglect case where charges have been filed. Food and water were thrown his way on occasion, and when he got loose and was shot in the leg by a neighbor, his wound was left untreated.

Yet Apollo is kind, gentle and remarkably easy to have around. He is 5 years old, 50 pounds and fully vetted.

Apollo is unsure of other dogs after spending years chained near several stressed-out dogs, so we are looking for a home where he can be the only dog. What he really enjoys and trusts is people.

Apollo has spent enough of his life being treated like he didn’t matter. His foster knows what a good dog he is. Now we need his person to see it too.

https://bchsohio.org/adoption-application/
