Please email with any questions about Anya or her adoption process!

Personality description:
Anya’s a sweet soul who’s now ready to branch out and experience life with an adopted family.

Since her arrival at the shelter along with her brother and mother, Anya’s been working through gradual decompression, building confidence, and establishing connections. She’s shown good progress and has completed her pre-adoption vet care, so it’s time for her next step: finding a lifelong friend!

The transition to shelter life has been a whirlwind for Anya and she’s still pretty shy, particularly around new people. It will likely take several visits before she feels comfortable, but once you’re in Anya’s trusted inner circle her affectionate quality shines! She’ll want to be by her person’s side, as close as she can, to eagerly accept all the pets (and as many treats as possible). She’s been aptly classified as a ‘velcro dog,’ so it’s crucial her future family welcomes her close company.

While Anya previously lived with two dogs, she hasn’t yet interacted with new dogs or cats; other pets in the home are a maybe as of now and may depend on a slow, monitored introduction.

The most important qualities Anya’s adopter must possess are patience and understanding. It’s important she connects with someone who understands her personality and is willing to help her build confidence over time. With the right person, Anya will be a loyal, trusted friend for life.

Additional bio info: female, Collie mix, approximately 3 years old, up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed, microchipped
