Anuhea's Story

Meet Anuhea
Anuhea is a 5-year-old German Shepherd who was surrendered due to not getting along with another dog in the household. Her previous owner shared that she tends to do better with dogs smaller than her and was unfortunately not socialized much as a young puppy, which has contributed to some of her protective behaviors.

Despite this, Anuhea has so many wonderful qualities. According to her previous owner, she is crate trained, absolutely loves squeaky toys, and even enjoys going fishing with her people!

Staff describe Anuhea as a calm, easygoing, and friendly girl who is very well behaved on walks. She already knows how to sit and shake on command and enjoys spending time with the people she trusts.

Anuhea can be protective of her people, so she will do best with an understanding, experienced adopter who can continue helping her build confidence and feel secure through positive guidance and structure.

Beneath her protective instincts is a loyal dog who wants companionship, routine, and someone she can bond closely with. If you're looking for a devoted companion and can provide patience and leadership, Anuhea could be your perfect match.
