Meet Ansel!<br/>Ansel is a sweet 10-year-old, ~12 lb pup who’s really coming out of his shell. He may have limited vision from cataracts and a slight heart murmur, but that doesn’t slow him down one bit. He recently surprised his foster family by learning to go down steps on his own, and he now enjoys daily walks up to half a mile. He’s even working on cues like leave it, wait, and let’s cross—and he’s a quick learner!<br/><br/>Ansel’s favorite things? Cheese, watermelon, cozy naps, and snuggling up next to his people (he prefers leaning against you over lap time). He also loves his stuffed owl, which he often sleeps with.<br/><br/>This little guy is quiet, calm, and a wonderful travel buddy. He rides beautifully in the car—even on road trips—and has done well meeting other dogs, preferring calm companionship over rough play.<br/><br/>Ansel is looking for a loving, peaceful home where he can enjoy the simple joys of life: soft blankets, gentle walks, tasty treats, and the comfort of being close to his humans.
