Annie's Story

Annie is about a three-year-old red tick. She came from a hunter who said she wouldn’t hunt. We can’t blame her there. She is timid around new people inside. She loves loves loves going for walks and playing with dogs of all shapes and sizes and ages. She always finds a playmate when we go to the dog park. She is completely house trained. Totally non-destructive in the house so would not need to be created at all. Annie would need a securely fenced in yard and would really thrive in a home with another dog or two or three that like to play.

Annie would make a great walking, hiking, running, buddy. She even likes the water.

She is up-to-date on vaccines and has been spayed.
Annie is available with a preapproved application and a scheduled meet and greet.

Augusta Dog Adoptions is a foster-based, 501c3 nonprofitrescue. We take applications online and schedule individual adoptions in Waynesboro, VA. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
