Annauti (fka Solar)

Solar is a sweet 5-year-old girl who arrived at a Las Vegas shelter as a stray with severe injuries to all four paws. Facing euthanasia because of her medical condition, she was rescued by Arctic Rescue and is now resting in a loving foster home. ❤️

We don’t know what happened to her, but her paws are badly injured, and even moving is difficult. She’s receiving pain medication, wound care, and ongoing veterinary attention to help her heal.

For now, Solar spends much of her time tucked into a corner, resting. She flinches when people approach and cowers near her crate. Her foster is taking things slowly, giving her space, gentle reassurance, and time to learn that she’s safe.

There have already been small, hopeful moments. She ate a meal. She’s becoming more alert. She allows gentle pets, and her ears perk up when she hears the other dogs. Each little moment is something to be glad about as she settles in.

Please note that all Arctic Rescue dogs are marked “Needs Experienced Adopter.” Northern breeds often have higher exercise, training, and care needs, so adopters without prior experience are encouraged to research the breed before applying.
