Anna * MN's Story
Anna is a 38# - 40# Australian Shepherd/Poodle mix, an Aussiedoodle if you will. She will be three years of age in April. DOB is 04.13.2023. Anna's owner, after having to downsize her living environment found that Anna was just now happy when she lost her big, securely fenced yard and the ability to access it at will. Walks proved not enough for Anna. Her human momma made the heart wrenching decision, after talking with an Almost Home Foster & Rescue of MN adopter, to give us a call. Yesterday we met Anna and her owner. It was an incredibly emotional event between the two.

Anna loves the outdoors. Back at rescue, we released Anna to the big yard with 6 of our Beagles, our welcoming committee. Anna and Buddy, our 45# foster, became fast friends. Anna will need a securely, fenced yard at her new home; we cannot waiver on this requirement.

Anna will be brought up-to-date on her vaccinations this week, she is spayed, and will receive her microchip. She will be eligible for adoption the end of February. Meet and greets are scheduled upon approved application.

Anna bonds very well to her human. We are looking for a family that can give her the activity that this young girl desires and deserves and would like to see Anna in a home where she has access to a family member throughout the day. Anna has never been kenneled; this would be new to her and she is potty-trained; however, new environment changes and situations can result in occasional accidents. Patience and routine training is a priority.

Adoption applications can be accessed and submitted from our website: almosthomefoster.com

Almost Home Foster & Rescue of MN is a 501c3, not-for-profit, foster-based, rescue organization. AHFR is located in SE Minnesota, in the Austin/Albert Lea area. AHFR is primarily a Beagle and small dog rescue.

Our focus is to pull from High-Kill Shelters and to save those dogs that are at risk of euthanasia.

All AHFR adoptions require an approved, completed application, a Veterinarian and Personal Reference Check, a smoke-free environment, and a home visit.

Our Adoption fee is $425.00 for a single dog adoption.

All our dogs are completely vetted, 4DX tested, current on vaccinations, *spayed/neutered, and microchipped.

Please access our website to complete and submit an application for Anna.
