Angus 's Story

MEET ANGUS FOSTERED IN JACKSONVILLE, NC!

Angus is a poodle/bichon mix & is roughly 10 months old. He is a VERY active young dog who needs a fenced back yard so he can play fetch until he’s satisfied. Angus loves walks! He would love to take a long walk or run with you, he would probably love to run next to a bike, too!

Angus is neutered, microchipped and UTD on all of his vetting.

Angus is a stage 5 clinger (Velcro dog) and needs to be with his human. He would do best with someone who is home all day.

Angus uses a doggie door, free roams in the house when the humans are gone (he has two dogs and two cats at his foster home, though), and sleeps with his foster mom in bed at night. He doesn’t do well in crates, he becomes very anxious.

Angus will not do well in an apartment/condo/townhome/duplex because he does bark. He will bark to tell you he needs to go outside, too. Angus is housebroken and does not mark inside the house.

Angus will need to be groomed regularly as his coat is very tightly curled and will mat easily. He tolerates a brush at home as well.

Angus likes a schedule. He prefers to have his walk in the morning, and will let you know it by dancing at the front door or pushing you with his nose. He will let you know it’s time for dinner, too. Angus is treat motivated and likes playing with toys of all kinds. (He will come with a few of his favorites when adopted!) Angus loves to dance! He uses this as a form of communication - sometimes it’s to prompt you to take him for a walk, to go outside, to beg for a treat, and just to show you how much he loves you. It wouldn’t surprise us if you taught Angus some tricks - he’s very agile and motivated to please!

Angus is good with cats, dogs, and both adults and teenagers. He has not been exposed to young children. He is a jumper and would do best with older or dog savvy children.

This guy doesn’t love car rides. He will ride nicely on the seat but gets scared and shakes. He has ridden in a dog car seat, as well.

As you can see, Angus is an active goofball with tons of personality!

A physical fenced in yard a must, there are absolutely no exceptions for Angus. Angus will not do well in an apartment, condo or townhouse.

Please consider your station in life when applying to adopt Angus. He can live another 15+ years.

Our application is on our rescue page information here.

We conduct vet references, home visits and personal interviews prior to a meet and greet or adoption.
